Hopfenreich translates to "hoppy" in English, that may be all you need to know in order to make a decision on whether or not to pay them a visit. This corner beer bar opened it's doors in Kreuzberg (Wrangelkiez) back in 2014 and is literally the king of cozy for Berlin, complete with rustic equipment (check out those taps) and wood accents. The lighting is dim, and pleasantly dotted by the glow of floating candlesticks. You may, just for a minute, feel as if you might be in Copenhagen. Now with 22 options vom Fass (on tap) to choose from, and an accommodating staff that seriously knows their stuff, you've found one of those beer bars where you know you'll be back again someday soon, maybe tomorrow.
