les trois 8
the full pour
Forget everything you expect to see in a French beer bar, because chances are this eccentric little spot is nothing like your preconceived notions. Dependent upon the time you visit, there is a good chance you may hear Les Trois 8 before you actually lay eyes on it. The footprint is smallish, and some of the vivacious cheer could be gathering just outside. Even though the space is not expansive, it is loaded with character and artful decor. The eight rotating taps will proudly have some local French options and you can pair those with some charcuterie/cheese deliciousness (that's right you're still in Paris). Take the opportunity to look around, you may notice that most patrons in the crowd are regulars and seem to know each other quite well. Even so, you feel welcomed and right at home. It could be the warm service, it could be the "divey" lighting. Whatever the reason, it simply works.
why is this on THL?
If you're looking to further your knowledge of the French craft beer universe and are the type that enjoys a little edge with your beer experience, head straight here. Les Trois 8 is fairly juxtaposed to other beer experiences in Paris, therefore requiring your closer inspection. Admittedly, Les Trois 8 is not for everyone. Nope, some may find the music too loud and the crowd too hip . . . and that's just too bad. Do not come here looking for tons of taps, or anything that could be considered paint-by-numbers beer bar, but do come here to witness something fantastically unique.
