The fox craft beer house
THE FULL POUR
If you're following the advice of The Hop Leaves, you're plotting to conquer the areas of Bethnal Green, Old Street and Shoreditch (for a variety of reasons beyond beer). While you're in these neighborhoods, it is recommended that you travel just a bit further north to Haggerston. Here you'll find an amicable craft beer pub known as The Fox. Even beyond the excellent craft selection, it is an solid option for gathering with friends, enjoying some fresh air on the rooftop terrace, a quick lunch or just a place to relax for a session. The environment is very comfortable, almost resembling a pub-meets-coffee-house feeling, complete with couches and authentically positive vibes.
WHY IS THIS ON THL?
The Fox Craft Beer House has an archetypal pub atmosphere going for it, and it should given the historical implications. But, there is quite a bit of extra personality here. The ambience is very much reminiscent of a neighborhood gathering spot, which is right at the heart of its charm. And while it does serve it's history well, with local real ales and ciders, the extra craft beer component is certainly commendable too. The options include beers from the UK, Belgium, Germany, Scandinavia and the US. Combined with a seasonal menu, communal board games and general good cheer, you've truly found some sanctuary.
